About this app

Calmaria [ feminine ] /kɑʊma’ɾia/
In Portuguese means calmness, tranquility, calm.
Calmaria is often used by seamen and surfers to indicate that there are no waves in the ocean.
That mood perfectly translates what this app intends to do, bring peace of mind and tranquility to your busy day to day. Just breathe and relax.

This is nice in simplicity and task. However I think a few changes could really improve the experience. The first would be letting me adjust the length of intervals. For example I have always done this exercise as a 4 (breath in)-4(hold)-8(breath out) and the inability to make any adjustments is frustrating. Also, the vibration to indicate the movement to a new phase should be much stronger. It is easy to miss and find yourself holding your breath for 12 seconds.

Very impressed with the simplistic design and functionality. Just open the app and tap to begin a breathing exercise. The subtle vibrations really make the difference. One thing I would suggest is allowing the user to customize the length of the session. I like to use this for meditation and having to restart it constantly takes you out of it. Excited for future updates.

Great app with minimal design. Could use more optimizations on haptics though. The overall haptic feedbacks on devices with decent vibration motors are fantastic, for example Pixel 4 XL. But on those devices whose vibration motors aren't so good, such as Pixel 5, the haptic feedback could really break the "calm" experience.

What's new

For this update, the biggest since launch, you will be able to customize the breathing exercises the way you want (inhale, hold, exhale, repetitions...) as well as select four popular and very effective breathing exercises.
