It's a great audio book reader ive had it years. You can skip forwards or backwards either by 10 seconds or a minute or a chapter quick and easily. The timer sleep function is great so you can listen to say 15 minutes as falling asleep. The book cover library is great and easily allows you to download your cover if it's missing. I have only one complaint but its a big one. Why on earth can't you sort audio books by author!!? Title, date, length, yes but not author. They are books it's crazy!!

1. 4.7 average review made me buy this but its not working well for me. The issue is that it doesn't play when I tap the triangle icon The only way I can get it to play is by tapping the sleep icon. Is there something in Settings I need to enable? Generally, I find the Settings menu difficult to follow... it's not written in plain English... seems to be some kind of 'only experts in this type of programme allowed here' language. HELP 2. Developer replied... very quickly within the hour "The default behavior is a tap anywhere on the background is play and pause. You can change this behavior in settings - interactive controls - gestures - press. So make sure that setting is set to play pause toggle." 3. The outcome is that it took seconds for me to correct the issue and the app now works well. 4. Nonetheless, I still think that the descriptives on the menu could be improved to make it easier to navigate for non-tech people like myself.

It's a good simple player, however there appears to be a conflict with Google's Now Playing app. When I open Now Playing on my Pixel phone, to identify a song, it reports that Listen Audiobook Player is using the device, and that "song recognitions are paused". Although I like this book player l might have to look for an alternative. The update has resolved the conflict, thank you.
