Best out of bunch tested. I tried a bunch of remote apps when I lost the remote to a Google TV and they were all obnoxiously invasive with ads except for this one. This is nice and simple. It works well. You can use the keyboard. Every now and then it asks you if you want a monthly subscription for $2.99 which would be worth it. I love the ease and simplicity of this. This remote app stands out above the rest because it doesn't have the crazy invasive ads that other free apps do.

As frustrating to use as the original remote. Only installed it on hour ago, and it has already unpaired twice. Keeps on trying to pair with the Chromcast in another room (with which it was never paired), and no longer even lists the Chromcast in the intended room, with which it was paired 30 mns ago. The wheel was not overly responsive from the get go.

I will continue to use this as my remote is missing, but a subscription service to fully replace something that should be a one time purchase is insane, if I only had to pay once for full features (which barely go beyond the BASICS of a remote) then I'd consider paying, but a subscription to turn up your volume is incredibly infuriating to see.
