Control it all with just a tap or two – and get to the good stuff faster. The Feed tab highlights important events in your home in one place. Here, you’ll also find ways to get more out of your devices and improve your home setup.

Create Routines that allow you to turn on compatible lights, check the weather, play the news, and more with one simple command.

See all the active audio and video streams on your compatible home devices in one place, change the volume, skip to the next track, or quickly change which speakers they’re playing from.

Understand what’s going on at home with a glance.
The Google Home app is designed to show you the status of your home and keep you up to date with what you may have missed. Check in on your home anytime and see a recap of recent events. You can also get a notification if something important happens while you’re away.

Use parental controls like Wi-Fi pause to manage online time for the kids. Automatically prioritize video conferencing and gaming traffic on all devices, or decide which devices to prioritize for all traffic types. Get more insights on your network, whether it’s a notification when a new device joins your network or detailed insights for troubleshooting a poor internet connection.

A helpful home is a private home.
Protecting your privacy starts with one of the world’s most advanced security infrastructures, which we build directly into Google products so that they’re secure by default. The built-in security in your Google Account automatically detects and blocks threats before they reach you, so that your personal information is secure.

We build privacy tools that keep you in control.
Control your Google Assistant activity, privacy settings, information, and personal preferences. See your activity, delete it manually, or choose to delete it automatically. Control your privacy on Google Assistant with your voice. Ask questions like “Where can I change my privacy settings?” to get answers to the most common privacy and security questions.

I've been using Google home for the past several years now. It used to be, that on my speaker group, I can control individual speaker volume and I can also control the group's volume - which is very important to me and very convenient. Now, Google Home don't have those anymore. I have to go to individual speakers to control their volume. As you might know, songs are recorded at different volume levels and sometimes, you have to adjust the volume depending on how they're recorded (not everytime though) and the single control on the Group's volume is very convenient and very smart....who tf in his infinite wisdom, decided to delete that feature....it's like the guy who rejected the Beatles, because according to him, they sounded just like any other band... bring that feature back please.

Fine until it lost everything. Again. The issue is I have set up my home multiple times. The latest time it lost all 5 of my speakers but not one of the chromecasts. Now I have to go and resetup everything again, but I'll have to factory reset my speakers to get home to see them on the same wireless network. And sadly it has happened twice before. The app works fine when things can be seen. I just wish they'd move profiles somewhere easier to recover. Or even provide a backup function.

Hey Matt, try rebooting your Made by Google devices, phone, and router to refresh the connection. Make sure they're within 15 to 20 ft of each other. For more help, feel free to contact us here: https://bit.ly/3adTfGB

Setting up Chromecast devices is a pain. I seem to have to redo it every six months or so, and it's a steep learning curve every time. I did end up resetting it (thank you to Dev for the suggestion, but I did that anyway) and then it was even more headscratching trying to figure out the setup steps. For it working on the end. Took 20 minutes I would rather have spent watching YouTube. (Dev, thanks for the link, I may need it again six months from now when I have to set up again.)

Hey JP, try resetting your Chromecast by pressing and holding the small button for 25 seconds then set it up again. Once done, reboot your phone and router to refresh the connection. For more help, feel free to contact us here: https://bit.ly/3mS38ME
