Pin your most-used devices, automations, and actions to the Favorites tab for easy access right when you open the app. View your Nest cameras and doorbell live feeds, and easily scan through event history. Set up and manage Routines in the Automations tab. And quickly edit any permissions in the consolidated Settings tab.

Ratings and reviews

Every time I try to go to a specific time, it appears that it just keeps loading. Signal is good, network speed is good as well. Closing the app and opening sometimes fixes it. It's an annoyance that it keeps happening and been happening for awhile. If anyone is thinking about buying Nest products I'd suggest something else. At least Ring is not this problematic.

Why bother setting anything up if the app is just going to randomly delete your setup. I had all my lights in my house setup, in rooms and groups and could turn on all the lights in a room with a single press, but no more. I opened up my app today and my entire setup was gone. Not changing my rating. Today I was able to go back in and add all my lighting groups. Good, this is the base line, my device the same way as when I last used it. Google can't be trusted with this across any product line.

Update: 2 years later and now the UI doesn't even reflect the device setting. Other new features are buggy. It's only gotten worse. Now there are 3 extra steps required to change my thermostat. Update: now I'm trying automations. When it's 4, I want my air set to 75, but for some reason it set it to 67. That won't reduce my energy bill, Google.
