Chromecast needs MUCH better support for SUBTITLES in queue mode! You can turn this option on for each individual video, for example using youtube. However once a queue is open there is no way to access the panel for subtitles control box, and it does NOT stay enabled by default! This is a major disability access issue! Let's get this fixed fast google!
Great advertisement for mindfulness training Whether it is in the apps or with the service, I don't know, but switching between casting apps will introduce you to a world of misery without exception. Switching away from the casting app on your device causes a disconnect with the Chromecast before too long (truth be told, some apps seem more sensitive to this than others). Oddly enough, I remember the experience to be much better and more reliable than this.
They disabled Miracast Google disabled the ability to use Miracast to promote their own screen broadcasting technology, Chromecast. Miracast was included in android versions 4 and 5 but is somehow missing is Android 6. Google disabled functionality that we are used to, to promote their own brand of screen sharing. I'm going to start calling them Gooplesoft. Part Google, part Microsoft, part apple. The 'don't be evil' Google we all used to know and love is now gone.
Great but needs a little work Google needs to put a security password on chromecast so that people on your network cant access your chromecast unless you want them to access it.There has been plenty of times that I have been watching a movie or something and one of my kids hits cast on a video then I get kicked off.
Won't work if it can't collect your usage data Chromecast won't work on private networks (no internet connection). Why would it require an active internet connection to stream local content from my Android devices to my TV? This is something Apple can do natively. I expect more options from Google devices, which I why I usually buy them over Apple products. Unfortunately, the chromecast has been nothing but a headache.
THREE thumbs up 👍👍👍 Works like a charm on my Samsung TV casting from my Galaxy S7 Edge (Android 6.1). The streaming is awesome, screen mirroring can't possibly get any better. My friends are able to use the Guest Mode easily. I can't complain. It's really worth the money!
We're always trying to improve your experience. Here are a few updates to make the Google Cast app even better. Happy Casting!
