Wow! Tried Amazon Music a couple of years ago and I thought it sucked then. Loading apps on new phone today and thought I'd give this a try again - - heck, I pay for Prime. So might as well. Man, am I impressed with the way it has developed. And the music selection is much, much better than it was and with the ability to control what you are listening to. I'm not sure what another commenter is talking about: I'm able to control the music from outside the app including on the lockscreen.
Love this This is an excellent option for listening to my favorite music. It's free, it remembers the songs I don't like and plays more like the ones I do when I'm listening to a station and not my Playlist. It also has a lot of old songs and all the latest songs. I had to switch phones and it picked up right where I left off. The only critique I may have is that when I put stuff in the search portion, it doesn't always recognize the "terms/words" I use. But they do have the artist or the song I was looking for. A-
Great app The music program is. Easy. Playlists are easy. My complaint is more access to popular Asian titles and performers.#2 Now Amazon seems to be coming around. They have begun to carry Asian music. At least the more well known artists. YouTube is still my goto for mew aerial but amazon gas improved in a relatively short time. Just a little more and I'll mean the 5 stars. I actually grade them 4.5. They still have a little way to go. Ok. It's 9/26/16 and waay more Asian music available. Even Mariko Hamada,
Good overall Can't play bought songs offline unless downloaded. Makes sense but I have to do that every time? I like how the price of an album deal goes down if you buy a song. Used to waste my money. And it has x-ray lyrics which I find nifty. Nice app, Heather job done.
A great value, but behind industry standards. Overall, Amazon Prime is a great value, and the music app is good. It's sleek, easy to use, and feature loaded. Unfortunately, it's missing a few key features that put it behind its leading competitors. The ability to control devices remotely would greatly help this product, such as controlling playback on your PC from your phone over wi-fi. Also, the music library is not as robust as other competitors.
Nonexistent global UI Music can only be controlled from inside the app. So unlike standard music apps like spotify, apple music, tidal, Pandora which all have multiple access points to control the music from outside the app.. like from the lock screen, or the notification bar, this has none, and it's a bit slow to respond on my modern phone. Some downloaded albums have a tendency to pause at the end of a song instead of continuing to play to the next song. I enjoy the service as a perk to being a prime member. I would not pay.
