All of the additional updates were not necessary. Now that they are trying to get location info and such, I can't view any of the playback. Even when I'm attached to my wifi. The whole app is trash now. The camera mobility has never worked. There is no sound even though when I purchased this model it said that it had the ability to hear. I found that I would need to buy a microphone but was not told that in the summary of the device. The updates have impaired the functionality of the app.

It works, however it is concerning that Annke automatically connects to a Chinese based cloud server. It was easy enough to see it on my network traffic and I was able to firewall it. Backing this up to a NAS is a pain but doable with trial and error. And the web interface is buggy and slow. However the camera and apps work, just not with your privacy (and security) at the front.

Had to upgrade my dvr unit because I'm upgrading the cameras and I got a PTZ. The app will only move the PTZ the full motion- if you want it to go up, it goes all the way up, right - All the way to the right, etc. I've changed the PTZ speed, tapped the button, tapped the direction arrows - nothing helps. The other non PTZ cameras have no issues with the app and function as they always have. Just the controls for the PTZ do NOT work
