I think it is okay. It's generally useful that there is an air tag or other compatible tracking device near you but it doesn't say how far it is (distance or simply how close/far), signal strength, what direction it's in and what does it mean when you play it and no sound turns on or the sound stops. People have been removing the speakers from their tracking devices so it makes it harder for their victim to find them. So the sound feature becomes useless. There needs to be a better way!

Enough to make you paranoid. Each scan detects any unknown tag as new and doesn't seem to remember the same tag between scans, extending that 10 min timer each time you manually rescan. If someone could modify a tag to transmit in intervals of more than 10 minutes, you'd never be able to find it. App picks up any tag nearby (~100m), so lots show up in the city, on a busy road, or in a dense housing area.

Good to have this on Android platform. Appreciate being able to manually scan and it does not have to run in the background. It would be a better implementation to allow optional background running. For example, to automatically scan while you are traveling or stationary and not watching the screen. This could ease some of concerns, but still satisfy both methods of scanning. This would also allow more frequent scans over a longer period to find 15 minutes away from the offenders.
