I think it is okay. It's generally useful that there is an air tag or other compatible tracking device near you but it doesn't say how far it is (distance or simply how close/far), signal strength, what direction it's in and what does it mean when you play it and no sound turns on or the sound stops. People have been removing the speakers from their tracking devices so it makes it harder for their victim to find them. So the sound feature becomes useless. There needs to be a better way!

Super pointless app. As others have pointed out, this won't run in the background and scans need to be initiated manually. Even then, will only detect a tracker if it's been away from the owner for more than 15 mins. A much better option, that also scans for tiles, is Airguard. It is much smarter and will continuously scan and notify you of devives that have been picked up in more than 1 location. This actually indicates you are being tracked.

Simple app that effectively does what the developer claims it will do. The interface is intuitive. I was always happy to see that it never found anything when I was home. I was confused when it didn't find anything at the airport, but that made sense after I read that the app only reports trackers that are separated from their owners, e.g., a tracker that some nefarious owner slipped into somebody's bag to track them as they went about their day.
