Ratings and reviews

The only major problem I have with Zomato is that most of the time cash on delivery is unavailable which is very frustrating. Also, they sneaky add extra charges which are way more than the sole price of the product. For example, if an item shows its cost to be 99 ₹, the total amount will add many more extra fees which will add up to ≈ 250 ₹! This is very deceitful.

Last time, I placed an order and the restaurant accepted it. However, after some time, the order was cancelled, with the reason given as “food was unavailable at the restaurant.” This was completely Zomato’s mistake. If the restaurant had no food available, the order should not have been accepted in the first place. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted my time.

No customer support. Two of my recent orders were wrong - I got a small instead of a large, and 3 items instead of 4. There's no help on the app. I emailed as asked, but Zomato only said it's been "flagged internally for the future" with no refund. Why should I pay for items I never received? Time to switch to a platform that cares about customers.
