Ratings and reviews

Good as an offline dictionary, but flashcards and quiz are only useful to a fairly advanced student, because they use words randomly chosen from the dictionary. You can save a list of "favorite" words, but cannot make a list of words to study, or study the words you got wrong last time.

I'd give this app 5 stars but there's been too many occasions where I had to go online on Google for simple everyday words. This dictionary often cannot identify the different forms of the same word in German. And I also wish that we had the feature where even in the English words we could see it's German counterpart because just today I wanted to see the proper meaning for 'ausgehen' but I couldn't find it at all and then I couldn't make head or tail of even it's literal English equivalent.

I've been learning German for several years now, and all the while I've been searching for a good dictionary app to help my learning. I finally found that in the VidaLingua dictionary. It basically has everything I've need all in one place - a full dictionary, a quality translation feature (which easily works both ways), it makes it easy to determine der/die/das (which is critical), It's got verb conjugation break down, flash cards, lists of common phrases listed by situation etc. - I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn German!
