With convenient access to your health plan details, you’re more informed when you need care. If you’re a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan member, you can:

The app supports most of our plans, but not all.

If you're one of these members, the app won’t work for you:

-- Blue Cross Complete (Medicaid) members

Identity
Google Play™ services needs this in order to send you push notifications. BCBSM won’t use anything related to your identity that isn’t associated with your account with us.


Wi-Fi connection
This access allows the BCBSM app to check for an active internet connection, which allows the app to function correctly.

Photos and other media
We use this access to deliver PDFs to you and to display your virtual ID card. BCBSM will not access or use your pictures or saved files for any other reason.

Ratings and reviews

Uninstalled. After having incredibly long loading times for the past year (2025), the app is no longer functional. Whether inputting your username and password or using biometrics to log in, it will always time out due to a "technical error," prompt you to tell it to retry, fail to log in again, and prompt you, once more, to retry. Don't bother downloading unless you enjoy hitting "retry" a lot and getting nowhere.

When I've tried to open the app over the last few weeks, I've just been getting a spinning circle for ages until it times out. My phone is updated to date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, cleared cache/data with no success. Now it's a continuous "unexpected technical error". The app was great back when it worked, even if the physician finder feature wasn't updated.

I can no longer get on the link to the site for ordering prescriptions. I can't see any of my scripts anymore! I click on all those links and they go no where, a blank, white screen! I have had nothing but trouble every time I've ordered my scripts through BCBS app!!
