App has definitely improved over time. It's good for every day use of checking balance and points and paying bills, but it can require a lot of patience to use the Bilt Travel portal, since it will bug out, crash, and/or reset your booking progress at random. It's convenient to have this app if you have a Bilt credit card, since it can be a bit of a process to get registered all over again on Wells Fargo.

Absolute trash, the latest update tries to trick you into applying for their credit card. This company is a total scam and shame on any rental using this. We will never move into a complex that uses this. Ours transfered to this site 3 years after moving in. They try to track your credit. They data farm your checking/savings accounts and they they try to ding you further by tricking you to sign up for a credit card you never wanted. Complete scam.

The problem that I see is that the rent wallet pay is high, and the alternative, Bilt Mastercard, has a higher than average APR. Also, Bilt wants to know too much of my bank info. The fee to pay through Bilt from the wallet feature is $9.99, and my apartment website charges $2.50 for bank account payments (higher for cards). I can think of Bilt like a subscription service, but the fee seems too high for the benefits. Credit pts. may be months off, and 250 reward pts. don't feel worth it.
