About this app

The "EMDR with Smetankin breathing" app is designed for EMDR practitioners and self-administered individuals (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).

The app includes classic features and new capabilities.

The app is based on the eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) method, recognized as effective in the treatment of PTSD.

• Creation of a personalized safe space, "My Haven" (5 illustrations)
• A 5-level, customized series of traumatic illustrations is used to process stressful situations, beginning with the illustration that causes the least stress.
• If discomfort arises while processing a stressful situation, the practitioner or client can stop the session or click the "My Haven" button, and the illustrations of the personalized safe space will automatically begin to display.
• Psychological correction sessions are conducted while maintaining a predetermined, optimal diaphragmatic breathing rhythm for each individual, with a wide range of different eye movement patterns. Audiovisual stimuli are aimed at reducing anxiety and processing traumatic memories.
Users can independently adjust various session parameters during training sessions.

2. Technical devices.
The application works on smartphones, tablets, TVs, PC monitors, and projectors.

3. Stress level indicator.
A reliable indicator of stress level is the cardiac activity parameter (HRV) (in Russia, the term RAV is used, meaning respiratory arrhythmia of the heart; in the US, the term HRV is used).

Read more about HRV/HRV on the Biosvyaz website - https://biosvyaz.com/

4. Breathing mastery.
In adults, during diaphragmatic relaxation breathing (effortless abdominal breathing) with an individual respiratory rate of 8-4 breaths per minute, a significant increase in HRV/HRV is observed. To determine your approximate individual abdominal breathing rhythm and practice effortless abdominal breathing, use the "Breathing – Path to Health" app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.msilimon.breath
To accurately determine your individual effortless abdominal breathing rhythm, which maximizes DAS/HRV, use the "STRESS-TRAINER" biofeedback hardware and software system - https://biosvyaz.com/
To monitor the effectiveness of EMDR/EMDR procedures, also use the "STRESS-TRAINER" biofeedback hardware and software system - https://biosvyaz.com/

5. Simulating stressful situations.
Simulating stressful situations using illustrations and audio.
Use the app's illustrations and audio or add your own materials.

6. Additional Tools.
- The "STRESS-TRAINER" biofeedback hardware and software system is designed to develop diaphragmatic-relaxation breathing with maximum DAS/HRV - https://biosvyaz.com/
- The "Breathing - Path to Health" app is designed to practice effortless abdominal breathing - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.msilimon.breath
- The "Your Relaxer" app works as a "mental relief assistant." Music and illustrations create a "world of peace," while rhythmic breathing calms the heart, immersing you in a state of comfort - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.biosvyaz.relax
- The "Fall Asleep Quickly" app for falling asleep quickly and improving sleep quality - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.biosvyaz.sleep

What’s new

It's now possible to independently improve stress resilience in adults and children using standard or custom templates. Breathing training can now be performed with illustrations of individual comfort levels. Systematic stress management is now possible on one or more levels simultaneously, with an unlimited number of ball trajectories.
