Update 4/7...after update I now have sound on the app again. 😆 .............................................................. I used to love this when i first got it. My son is 11 months old and I have no sound. I love that there's an app so its on my cell so I always have it available but some time over the past few months I have no sound over the app. It happened after an update. This issue with the sound needs to get corrected. I use the app often so I need sound. The monitor has no battery life from day 1. I use to get 5 minutes but my son isn't even a year old and once unplugged it dies. I also have no sound on the monitor. I had it turned down because I hear him. I was going away so I wanted to turn it back up for my husband and couldn't.
Great when it works. We bought the camera to monitor our dog when we go out hoping to use the two-way audio as a means of some control but it's so quiet I have to shout at the top of my voice to even gain his attention. We're currently using it to monitor our baby as we're awaiting delivery of our new monitor and since the update, the stream is terrible. Constantly buffering, won't load or log on.
NOT TRUSTWORTHY. The connection drops all the time and we have trouble reconnecting. Not to mention that it goes offline a lot and sometimes rebooting doesn't solve it. How can we feel confident having this product for our child's safety??? It lags and seems unstable, with streaming issues. Got no support at all and it's just getting worse. It freezes in the middle of the night and it takes FOREVER to connect. Not reliable at all.
I've had the camera for about a year. Working away from home, it's nice to be able to look in on my little one. However, the camera seems to go offline, sometimes for days at a time and won't come back up even if I reset the system. A system which depends on a server for even local usage, is not reliable. Get a local non-networked monitor if you need 100% uptime. Update: I still use the camera, but got an audio only standard monitor for local usage. The server issues seem to be fewer and overall reliability seems improved over the last few months.
The problem is the camera disconnects from the app and goes offline. The only way to correct is to turn the camera off and back on manually. The app also loses connection with the camera and it needs to be re paired from scratch. Seriously awful especially when we are asleep and assuming our baby is okay and wake up to the app or camera not working. The app developer must begin intensive dialogue with whomever does firmware updates and the engineer of the hardware. Get it together please Motorola! We recommended this camera to many. Now we must advise them otherwise until resolution is permanent
Been a customer for over a year. Its always worked great. On june 9th 2016 the service stopped working. Got a message that they were doing maintenance. Today on june 10th the service is not available. They had no problem billing me for June, but now they cant provide the service. Cant find a way to contact any support off application. Cameras constantly go off line and will not stay connected for more than a day or two.
