About this app

In an emergency situation, would you know what to do? Effective first aid could save your pet's life.

First Aid for Pets Australia is an educational tool that contains many helpful and potentially life-saving articles for quick reference in the event of an emergency or potential health risk for pet dogs, cats and horses.

This app also links with your local vet clinic (see below for limitations) to provide fast access to contact information in the event of an emergency.

You never know when an emergency will happen, however, with First Aid for Pets Australia you can always be prepared.

PLEASE NOTE: this app can only link to veterinary clinics that have chosen to participate in this program, however even if your veterinary clinic is not available in the list, you can still access the valuable first aid information by selecting an alternative veterinary clinic in your area. In this situation, we recommend adding your veterinary clinic’s contact details into your phone.

Have had it loaded, set up, and ready for months and now the one time I need to use it, I can't get past the entry page that demands I select a Vet. Which wasn't a page when I first set the app up, btw, or I would have done it then. None of the vets in my area are signed up, apparently, so nothing's coming up and I can't progress. Why is this step even necessary???? Add a "skip this page" option, I'm in a time sensitive situation and your damn app is blockading me

Doesn't work. After downloading the App all I get is a white blank screen when I go to open it. Tried several times, no luck so uninstalled it.

Only covers dogs and cats. Would be great to see other pets covered.
