Thank you for finally updating the app! It is now a lot better than before. That said, still room for improvement. It doesn't allow you to scan your card with the camera for faster card details import. And it doesn't show your card barcode so you can use the app instead if you don't have your card accessible. It would also be great if Boots would integrate with Android Pay and allow the import of the Advantage card into Android Pay via this app. Tesco has done it with Clubcard so that it displays the current amount of points on the card in Android Pay.
This app has problems. Offers loaded are not always available when I pay. They are simply not registered. If you have more than one offer loaded it will automatically chose one for you without giving you the choice. I had 25% of childrens clothing and £5 off with a £20 spend. It chose the 25%. This is a choice I as the customer would like to make. It makes me feel less in charge of my spending. If you can fix that it has potential of being a great app.
Since the app has changed the loyalty program is not as favourable, by the admission of your own staff even! It would appear that Boots has scaled down its rewards. Sadly, if the offers aren't there I'm likely to shop elsewhere. Boots has never been the cheapest, but the loyalty scheme used to make up for that which in turn kept my loyalty!!
This app seems to work ok on my Android phone but it is not available for downloading to my tablet. The layout is ok. It is handy that WebMD is on there. Wish they could add a link to the Health and Beauty magazine too. Not keen on the offers I get. Most of them do not relate to what I would buy or the amount I spend. Plus I miss the option to see offers I have already used which was on the previous version.
I used to think this was the worst app ever. But OMG it's come along way. Searching used to be a nightmare, but now it's a dream. Easy to type into search, products laid out well. When you view a product and then go back to your search it returns you to the same place in the list, very important for a shopping app. Plus I went shopping the other day and forgot my card but got my card up on the app, so handy! And I love that you can load offers on to your card too and it's sooo easy. A big thank you and well done to the developers for the much needed improvements!
