Thank you for finally updating the app! It is now a lot better than before. That said, still room for improvement. It doesn't allow you to scan your card with the camera for faster card details import. And it doesn't show your card barcode so you can use the app instead if you don't have your card accessible. It would also be great if Boots would integrate with Android Pay and allow the import of the Advantage card into Android Pay via this app. Tesco has done it with Clubcard so that it displays the current amount of points on the card in Android Pay.
I like the app. It's compact and easy to navigate. That said, I still have ptoblems with using it. Sometimes my offers aren't loaded to my card, or the latest in-store sale offers are nowhere to be seen. I also dislike the fact that if I want teensy bit more info on a product or an offer I'm redirected to a browser. That's not practical at all. I hope you get the kinks sorted in the app.
This app has problems. Offers loaded are not always available when I pay. They are simply not registered. If you have more than one offer loaded it will automatically chose one for you without giving you the choice. I had 25% of childrens clothing and £5 off with a £20 spend. It chose the 25%. This is a choice I as the customer would like to make. It makes me feel less in charge of my spending. If you can fix that it has potential of being a great app.
Easy to use. You can see your personalised offers, Boots offers & new products. Like the fact that you can upload the offers to your advantage card, except the last time I did it, it didn't work. To their credit Boots credited gave me the points I was due when I got in touch. New version has better layout and easier to use and see what offers are uploaded to advantage card.
The new lay out is much clearer. I load the app offers when they become available so that I don't forget. Sometimes in-store I realise that a paper voucher or an in-store offer or an offer on a recipe would be more beneficial for the specific items I am buying but the app offers invalidate these other offers. The Boots staff can do nothing to help me on the till. The app needs the functionality to unselected offers.
