The app works, but the hardware it controls is the real issue. My Joule unit stopped heating completely while still circulating water. Support confirmed the product is non-repairable and no service options are available once it’s out of warranty. The only solution offered was a discount to purchase another unit. An app-controlled device with no repair path if the hardware fails is a major concern. I would not recommend this system based on that experience.

when it works this is a good app + appliance. I find it stops cooking in seemingly random times. it's useless if I'm forced to sit there watching it to make sure it didn't just shut off. it's unclear if it's the app or the Joule but it doesn't matter cause they go together. if 1 part is garbage is all garbage. it used to work well.

so far after downloading the app to connect my Joule immersion calculator I get halfway through a long cook and then when I go to set up the second half after checking everything I can't start or stop the cook to continue. it just keeps telling me to go troubleshooting but nothing I've tried has worked so I'm 24 hrs into a 42 hour cook and I can't proceed at all.
