I love this app. I can stay in touch with any loved ones that are incarcerated. ,in any facility if that facility has JPay available in their facility. I can also send pictures and money and also send money for songs for their jplayer which is much like an iPod for inmate they can store their music and pictures on their JPay player. I use this app several times a day. I just wish the video Graham would become available in Angola.
The app is nice. The only thing I don't like is...why can't I have it on my computer too? If I go into JPay from my web browser on my computer, I don't have the ability to transfer stamps to my brother, because it will only allow me to transfer stamps to my husband. On web browser I can only send money to my husband not my brother, but on the app I can send to both. And on my web browser I can no longer do the 30 second video or view the 30 second video...can only do it on the app. The app is much nicer, but I do most of my stuff on computer to save storage on my phone. Why is there not an app for Google Chromebook?
I rate 5☆. I've not had any issues or problems on my end. The stamps are easy to buy and transfer. Most importantly, it keeps our family in touch with our loved one and thats whats most important. We can send pics from our gallery on our phone or on Google or take them and send instantly!! I wld give it 10☆ if I could.
Much easier than hand writing a letter and mailing it out. The only downside is if you want to send a picture, it charges you a stamp for the letter (which it requires you to write one with the picture) and a stamp for every picture attached. Also requires you to purchase a minimum of 10 stamps at a time. Other than that it's awesome. Only takes a few hours to receive letter, as opposed to almost a week through the mail.
This used to be a great app but not anymore it takes forever for my husband to get my letters or for me to get his. If he forgets to put a letter on a reply message he can't get it transferred he has to erase and re write it. Plus the pictures n videos are horrible so he doesn't get to really see it. Not a great app so glad he done very soon.
I really like this app except for one problem; the photos I try to send from the mobile app load in sideways no matter what I try to do to the picture in the gallery prior to selection. Is it supposed to do that? Otherwise like many others I find this an excellent way to stay in touch with my family; far better than snail mail.
This month we fixed a few bugs that caused display issues and sometimes crashed the app, and added a history section for stamp transfers. Happy holidays!
