About this app

Some days, everything just feels like too much. Chautaari is here for those
days.

We built this because too many people in Nepal carry stress, anxiety, and
hard days quietly — without a language for it, without someone to turn to,
without knowing where to even start. Chautaari is a small, free space to
start: breathe for a minute, listen to something calming, hear from someone
who actually understands what you're going through, or reach real help
fast if things feel like too much right now.

A chautari, in Nepali tradition, is the shaded platform where travelers
rest before continuing on. This app carries that same idea — not a
destination, just a place to pause.

What's inside:

Breathe, guided. Box breathing, 4-7-8, and diaphragmatic breathing, with a
gentle visual guide so you always know when to inhale and when to let go.
One minute or ten — whatever you have room for today.

Sounds to settle into. Rain, rivers, forest, temple bells, quiet nights.
Loop them, blend two together, fall asleep to them. Save your favorites
to play without using data.

Real voices, not strangers on the internet. A feed of short videos from
verified Nepali mental health professionals — people with real
credentials, talking honestly about anxiety, stress, sleep, relationships,
and self-worth.

A private space to write it down. Journal in text or voice — it stays on
your device only. We never see it, store it, or collect it.

Help, the moment you need it. If things ever feel like an emergency, one
tap connects you to Nepal's real support lines — the National Suicide
Prevention Helpline (1166), Khabar Garaun (1145), and TPO Nepal's
counseling line — plus the nearest mental health clinic. No login. No
waiting. No judgment.

All of it in Nepali and English, because your mind shouldn't have to work
in translation. Sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple and you're in —
free, always.

Chautaari won't replace a therapist or a doctor. What it will do is meet
you where you are, and help you find what you need next.

Rest here for a moment. Then keep going.
Guided breathing, calming sounds & real support — free, in Nepali & English.
