The Power of the White Reference
What sets Color Meter apart from other apps is its innovative use of a white paper reference. By compensating (automatic calibration) for the color and intensity of the ambient light, Color Meter ensures that the color measurements are more precise and reliable. It is like having a professional meter in your pocket.

Perfect for artists, designers, architects, decorators, researchers, print technicians, photographers and anyone interested in colors.

Use the app as for color calibration, experiments, color identification, palette creation, color analysis and more - the possibilities are endless.

I just needed to color march a wall, I didn't find the feature in a short amount of time. so I canceled the subscription and uninstalled the app. I thought it was ok, I would have not been charged any money or anyway refunded. instead I can see the charge of 34.99 I think, not sure about the amount. this is terrible. we can't even try an app for a few minutes. I would have been very glad to pay, if I had found the feature. terrible practice.

I'm really sorry about this experience. The subscription has a long free trial period, so this sounds very strange. Please send an email to me at apps@contechity.com so that I can give you a full refund if money was really withdrawn. Also, it would be interesting to know what feature you did not find. Thanks, and sorry again Roberto!

Perfection, and exactly what I needed! This tool allows you to measure the exact color, in multiple formats (RGB values, HEX, etc). While it is not required, I found the option of a white reference to be ideal! This means that you can add a white piece of paper, or similar, into the frame, and identify it as white. That way, the program can determine if there are any color biases in the light, and can effectively "subtract" that bias color in the light from the color you are measuring.

This is the only app I've found to be accurate in terms of the value scale. I created a test strip in Illustrator/Photoshop and tested on this app and it was 100% accurate. I have no idea why other apps can't be accurate as the file was created digitally. I did a basic colour test strip using the same method and that was also 100% accurate. So I would say any issues in colour and value identification will be because of the quality of the phone's camera.
