Why Color Temperature Matters in Photography
Understanding color temperatures is crucial for achieving accurate colors in photography. While Automatic White Balance (AWB) helps, manual settings often yield better results. Use this app to measure color temperatures and set your white balance accurately for stunning photos.

Accuracy
To ensure the best possible accuracy, this app uses a common white paper or a grey card to measure color temperature (CT, correlated color temperature, CCT). Just make sure the paper is lit by the light source you are measuring and avoid any color casts. While usually not necessary, calibration can further enhance accuracy.

Was so helpful I just purchased it. I do echo the other reviews and suggestion to move the same button to more ergonomic location around square window. It would be nice to be able to grab the reading with one hand. But also with your left hand as the save button is on the right. Other than that this came in handy for my shoot. That I instantly bought it when we were done filming.

Very good app to see what your LED flashlights emit. My test was a Sofirn IF23PRO. Sidelight can be set from warm to cool. (750 lumens) Warm end is 3400k, cool end is 5800k. I normally leave it at around 5000k for better CRI. Checking main emitter between flashlights can show how far onto the blue it is, or if it's more neutral.

I've got no real experience scientifically with any of this as I am a maintenance supervisor, but it seems to measure light output fairly accurately from the various fixtures in our commercial buildings.
