Why Color Temperature Matters in Photography
Understanding color temperatures is crucial for achieving accurate colors in photography. While Automatic White Balance (AWB) helps, manual settings often yield better results. Use this app to measure color temperatures and set your white balance accurately for stunning photos.

Accuracy
To ensure the best possible accuracy, this app uses a common white paper or a grey card to measure color temperature (CT, correlated color temperature, CCT). Just make sure the paper is lit by the light source you are measuring and avoid any color casts. While usually not necessary, calibration can further enhance accuracy.

Was so helpful I just purchased it. I do echo the other reviews and suggestion to move the same button to more ergonomic location around square window. It would be nice to be able to grab the reading with one hand. But also with your left hand as the save button is on the right. Other than that this came in handy for my shoot. That I instantly bought it when we were done filming.

Full of ads, everywhere, every time. This app has functions which do not work as per their claim. I am extremely dissatisfied. Not recommended. One last thing, if it works, it shows the wrong color temperature. I tried to measure the color temperature of a newly purchased Philips LED bulb with an advertised color temperature at 2700K, this app detected as 5250K. That is too far from accurate.

Really great app, plan purchase once some other items are taken care of. Update: I used this app with my Pixel 9 Pro XL camera to calibrate my TV. Started with a 2 Point focus on color temperature of D65. I then followed it with a 11 point white balance. The pattern source, is Spears and UHD HDR Benchmark 2024 disc. Dolby Vision was the focus and the results are excellent. Update: I purchased the app and will purchase the Color Meter app, my favorite apps on the Play Store.
