How Bid Whist works
Players bid the number of books they expect to win above six, or pass. The winning bidder chooses the contract, takes the kitty, discards, and then tries to win enough books with their partner.
Depending on the contract, the hand may be played Uptown, Downtown, or with No Trumps. Players must follow suit if possible. If they cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including trump.
The bidding team scores when they make their contract and loses points when they are set. The first team to reach the target score wins.

Ratings and reviews

Need to be more challenging. When you win the bid, player needs to try and get 2 suited and start game by getting rid of trumps first. There are many more skills to bid whist, but the computer can cover them all but it should be able and make the game more competitive. the computer must have these players play there aces to make the games reasonably interesting and realistic.

Great implementation of bidding whist. I've been pleased with the AI thus far, though sometimes they make some poor bidding decisions or trick choices. However, the interface is slick, accessible, and no nonsense. I also like the ability to finely tune the rules to match something akin to a 'house style' or 'table rules'. All of the copper cod games are great. I'd love to see a cribbage offering from you! 🙂🃏

Really simple scripted bid whist game. Nothing fancy and the teammate can be frustrating sometimes. But all-in-all it's a great way to learn and get used to playing Bid Whist. Options allow you to change the rules to your local play style as well so you're accustomed when you play with friends. I believe the free version was a bit advertising heavy so I bought the paid version. Worth it in my opinion. Game hasn't crashed on me or had any issues/bugs.
