Classic Gin Rummy gameplay
Each hand starts with 10 cards. Build melds by making sets or runs, reduce your deadwood, then knock or go Gin to end the hand.
Face cards are worth 10 points, aces are worth 1 point, and other cards are worth their number value. The lower your deadwood, the better your chance of winning the hand.

Built for comfortable play
Classic Gin Rummy is designed to be easy to read and quick to play, with flexible sorting, smooth card handling, optional fast play, optional four-color suits, and clear end-of-hand scoring.
Play offline anytime — no internet, no sign-up, just Gin Rummy.

I like this app with one exception. In the initial deal high value cards (8 thru king) are heavily overrepresented (56%) compared to low value cards (ace thru six - 37%). This is based on 300 cards dealt to me over 10 hands. If this discrepancy is systematic it would skew the games toward faster melds, shorter rounds, and much less use of advanced gin strategies, which is what I noticed with the games. Fix the shuffle and this would be a near perfect gin app.

You can choose to have add at bottom and that removes interruptions. Has great options for custamizing play. Also you play the computer so you can pause when needed and come back to the game when you are ready. No unnecessary coins or tokens to reward you for coming back often. Just gin rummy the way it is supposed to be.

A nearly perfect presentation of Gin Rummy. It can be improved. I play Hollywood Gin and it seems that the AI always knocks immediately when the Deadwood score is 10 or less. However, there are times when it is better not to knock, and instead wait for Gin or Big Gin (for example, with a Deadwood score of 0, 1, or 2 when deep in the round). I take advantage of this when I'm playing, and therefore it seems like I win more often than I should. Yes, the AI could be smarter!
