* Simplified Home Screen – The App’s main screen (now accessible from the new ‘Home’ tab) simplifies rider navigation for quick, effortless access to all application features.

* Easier agency Location – We have replaced “metro areas” with a new agency selection experience to make it easier for riders to locate an agency near them that uses Umo. Agencies are now clearly listed and sorted by nearness to the rider, ensuring that riders select the correct, intended transit agency when they create an account and purchase fare products. Please note that not all transit agencies use Umo and only those that are available for selection in the App are supported at this time.

Ratings and reviews

I like the fact that I can preload money to store for rides on my city transit. What I don't like is having to navigate through unwanted ads when trying to board my bus. Like other ads one has to wait a few precious seconds before being able to close the ad and resume showing my QR code before boarding. Nowhere in the app description does it say anything about ads. A very useful app, but seemingly deceiving not telling users about the ads.

The app is ludicrously basic. If you have both funds and day passes loaded on your account, there is no option to select funds to pay for a one-way trip -- it will automatically draw from your full-day pass, making single trips unnecessarily expensive. Also, you can't use your account to pay for others. They have to have their own account. I honestly can't believe transit entities force customers to use this terrible app.

Look at all these 1 star reviews! And yet my experience may be worse than any of them. A year ago I downloaded the app, but was never able to get beyond an eternal loop of trying to choose my location. The loop: choose country, choose bus service, agree to terms of use, then repeat (choose country, choose bus service, agree to terms of use) ad infinitum. I deleted the useless app and have since done a full phone reset. Today, after one year, i downloaded app again, but same doom loop! worthless!
