Ratings and reviews

While this app+charging stations works way better than EA, it's not without issues. Location related activities in the app for example is a mess. It tells me earest charging station is 12 miles away but I am standing in front of one and there 6 other in my hood. Zooming in all the way on the app don't even show chargers. I'm on a plan and I need to start the charge in app. Luckily, this station is in my recent tab so I clicked on that to start. But that's really amateurish software development.

Their app is just as unreliable as their chargers. Typically after about 10 mins the app will simply stop working, lock up and shut down. It's anyone's guess if it's the app crashing or did the charger go offline. More times than not it's the charger going down. No alerts, no notifications. One would think that if a charger goes down in a very short increment of time, someone back at the command center would get an alert and take the necessary steps to remedy.

Charging has worked fine 3 times now, but the app is terrible. the first time there was confusion between the app, texts, & each of the two screens if charging had started or if there was an error. Got a person on the phone, it was charging even though one of the screens in the car, the texts I was getting from evgo, & the evgo app told me I wasn't. Just now was a deal-breaker, the kWh & $ read 0 the whole time and I still an hour later do not have a receipt or any of those details.
