Put your diet on autopilot with Eat This Much, the automatic meal planner. Tell us your diet goals, the foods you like, your budget, and what your schedule looks like, and we'll automatically generate a complete meal plan to meet your requirements. It's like having a personal diet assistant.
Features
• Generate meal plans that meet your calorie and macro targets in seconds
• Nutrition targets can be set up for weight loss, maintenance, or muscle / bodybuilding
• Follow any eating style or create your own
• Choose from paleo, atkins/keto, vegetarian, vegan, and Mediterranean diets
• Filter out foods/recipes based on allergies and dislikes, including gluten-free
• Set the available cooking time for each meal to match your schedule
• Take the anxiety out of picking what to eat
• Personalize any of our recipes or add your own
• Don't like our suggestions? Easily swap them out or configure the meal planner to only use foods you like using Recurring Foods
Premium features
• Automatically generate a week of meal plans at a time

Normal calorie trackers force you to add foods into your diary one by one. By the end of the day, there's no guarantee that you'll be anywhere near your nutrition targets. With our automatic meal planner, there's nothing to track because everything is already entered for you. All you have to do is follow the plan.
We offer both free accounts and premium accounts. As a free user, you can create a single day meal plan and completely customize it however you want. Each meal can have different preferences, and your nutrition targets can be whatever you like.
As a premium user, you'll have access to the weekly meal planner that allows you to automatically generate a week of meal plans and send them to you with a grocery list via email. As you follow the plans, you can track what you did or didn't eat, and if you deviate from the plans, we make it easy to readjust your targets for the next week to stay on track.
Try out the free account to see if our meal plans appeal to you, and upgrade to the premium meal planner when you're ready.

While it is very good, it could be unbelievably great by adding 1 simple feature. The ability to lock a single meal into place. You are supposed to be able use the "reoccurring foods" , but it does not work to well. I like to look at what is on sale and then use that to look at the ETM recipes...then i add those recipies to reoccuring foods...but then i end up getting two full recipies for dinner. If this xould be fixed this would go from good to outstanding

I've never reviewed an app before, but this app is AMAZING. The developers have put so much thought into this. I've dreamed of making an app that had this much utility in meal planning/macro counting. This is what you need to see results. I used to do what this app does by hand and it would take me forever and now it's easy. So many features and I think they plan to continue to add more. It DOES take a little effort at the onset to customize everything how you would like it (and may be easier to do on the computer), but after that....the app is way better than I imagined for all the complex features it has. It did take me a while to discover ALL the features, this app is SUPER flexible, but you need to invest some time in figuring it out. Never crashes. Obviously the available meals/recipes section is small, but you can add your own and it will get bigger the more people use it. Great app!

This meal planner is unbelievable, it's what I've been dreaming of. Buying a yearly subscription, fantastic job to the devs of this app. You guys rock! Only thing I wish they'd throw in is a way to import recipes from sites. Eat this much takes ALL of your dietary restrictions into account then takes the guess work out of it. You can tweak the way it hands you recipes in a broader way or get super specific. Automatic, manual or some freaky mix of both. WORTH the money!!

LOVE THIS APP! The recipes are amazing, takes all the guess work out of balancing carbs, proteins, fats etc. I use it in conjunction with my fitness pal. Tell all your friends!

Awesome app, if you find meals boring it's because of the cooking settings on the meal type I found. Off to lose the flab! Thank you for having macros too, helps a lot with different diet types (I'm doing keto)

Really good app, on a ketogenic diet and it is the first time where I don't have to deal with cravings all day. The app ensures an overall diet with all nutrition covered. Next improvement - add a food 'downgrade / upgrade' feature. What I mean by this is if for instance you do eat fish but the app puts too much in for the week you can downgrade it so that you still have it but not as often. Likewise upgrades with foods you do like (not recipe based but food specific) This can then stay in place for future meals and ensures your `pantry / grocery' feature is not missing anything.

Took some getting used to everything. I think with recent updates also became a lot more keto friendly. Will update to 5 stars once I lose the weight
Idk, I want to like this app even paid money to subscribe. But the food is boring. The daily dollar limit is not accurate at all. I hate bell peppers so i put it on my, i don't like this list, and it still pops up multiple times a week. Its a cool app don't get me wrong but I don't think it's quite bug free.
I used the website for a while. Didn't know there was anapp. I set it to maintain my weight, and it does what I want it to.
Would be a lot better if you could plan it for the month ahead instead of just weekly, would make it a lot more helpful

Thanks for the feedback Jasmere! If you set your grocery shopping day to the day before the current day, you can generate the next two full weeks. Also, you can save a full week of plans, then load it into future weeks to plan as many weeks into the future as you want (and then regenerate the current week to mix it up). Hope that helps!
- Louis Big mistake for me to download this. I can't do anything without upgrading to Premium. Why is this listed as a Free app in the first place?

Decades in the future, E. lies on his deathbed accompanied by his wife F. and daughter G.. "Did you have any regrets?" asks G., visibly distraught. "One," E. wheezes between pings of the EKG. "Ver...," E. breaks off, short of breath. "Version 99 of the Eat This Much Android app." The EKG flatlines. G. collapses into F.'s arms, weeping. END SCENE Ok app, but if the phone switches off for a few minutes, the app loses its connection and insists on logging in from scratch which takes quite some time. Additionally the shopping list is for a complete week, it's difficult to see what you need each day if you do your groceries on a daily basis.

Hi Magnus,
Can you send us an email at contact@eatthismuch.com with more details about the connection issues?
Also, viewing a single day's worth of groceries is possible on the Groceries tab of Groceries and Pantry. Click the button "Change dates" at the top of the screen, and select the day you're shopping for (twice).
-Matt I really like that the recipes are right there. Also, the fact that there are few high carb foods in the "menu".
Great way to get your meal prep in order without too much hassle.
I do IIFYM (If it fits your Macros). This site/app helps to take all of the guess work and stress out of planning my meals and allows me to create a viarity in my diet. Thank you for creating :-)
Upgraded to the 7.99/month version with the grocery list option and I am VERY happy with it. I like having control over what I eat but I lack creativity with planning. I am vegan and try to do high protein, low fat--nearly impossible without shakes. And I got sick of ingesting nothing but seitan, salad, and shakes. It's easy to just give up on healthy eating without a little support. I can only look up recipes and generate grocery lists and add up macros so much before it becomes overwhelming. These plans meet my crazy macro needs while staying in a reasonable budget and staying plant-based. I am so happy! I would never have been able to do this kind of meal planning on my own.
It does a good job trying to stay on the macros. The food, however, hasn't been good one single time since using it the past few weeks. The "tropical clear skin smoothie" literally tasted like vomit. I just can't..
Free version has been working well for me. Takes tge guess work away and provides all info needed to stay on track. Would like to see more recipes.
If you are looking for a very general diet, this is probably fine. Have some exclusions? Ask for no soy and get recipes for tofu. Ask for no fish and get trout recipes. It's just not there yet for some folks.
Thank you Eat This Much! The app is a fantastic method of calorie counting. ive tried everything but nothing has seem to work for me like ETM has. The diet customizablity has a wide variety of options that I like to play around with when making a daily meal. The suggestions have been healthy and actually pretty good, with a few small tweaks. The recipies are mostly ones that can be prepared quickly, which is why the app is so helpful for me. I believe i will be able to achieve some goals that ive set for myself with the help of Eat This Much!
They thought of pretty much everything in this app. Love it. I urge the makers to try and get partnerships with other health and fitness apps so the data syncs to other complimentary and competitive apps. I also love MyFintessPal for trackjng purposes, but tge meal planning in the Eat This Much app is way better!
So far this app is way more in depth than most. It makes planning your week simple. The meals are all very reasonable for prep time. It would be nice if it kept a tally of calories you've eaten throughout the day instead of just a full day count.
Works well, except when scaling meal it doesn't scale the ingredients properly. For example, if I change a meal from 4 servings down to 2, it doubles the ingredients. If I double the servings, it halves the ingredients.
Uses way too much data. Great idea terrible execution. This "App" is just a webpage
Eat This Much, Inc. May 3, 2017
Hey Jacob - the app shares a lot of code with our site, but otherwise has a native android interface. A session of using the app usually takes a little less than 1MB, so it could be a problem if you have very restrictive data plan, in which case it'd be a good idea to stick to wifi. Let us know if you see it using more data than that.
- Louis What meal planner makes you go premium to plan meals? Waste of time
Eat This Much, Inc. May 2, 2017
For free, you can generate single-day meal plans that match your nutrition targets, and also track your intake. The premium features give you the added convenience of planning the next few weeks with a grocery list, and helps support us in building/improving the service. We want to go free-to-use in the future, but it might be a while.
- Louis Great app. Takes the work out of meal planning. However. I wish there were more recipes. I'm glad there is a way to add my own recipe. ..it just takes a bit of time.
Doesn't even load, either that or it has a heck of a load time...
Great app .. help me lose much weight and help me cook my food
It seems to stay very close to the calories you manually request, but falls short on specific macro percentages you want. For instance, for paleo, I requested a lower fat amount (20%) and boost the carbs and protein (40% ea) ..it is unable to do so at this time. Maybe there aren't enough recipes in the database to accommodate. If this is something that's getting looked into, I'd gladly pay for premium.
I LOVE this product! I've been a MyFitnessPal user for several years. The MFP user interface has gotten very dated and cluttered, and the app is absent of desired features. I am very pleased with the user experience and features of Eat This Much. I am trying to PLAN and TRACK the amount of protein, primarily, and carbs and fat, by meal and by day, without tons of time and effort. I can set up my own recipes and several recurring meals all with a visually pleasing drag and drop. The foods can be sorted and filtered in several different ways, along with search, to find quickly. I can track whether I ate what I planned to eat for a meal with one click, and copy an entire day's meal plan to the next day with one click. With premium I can set up several reusable daily meal plans to account for weekends and going out to dinner, or days I do my resistance training or not as I may or may not have a Pre-Workout meal and Post-Workout meal. I can't say I've used their feature for them to automatically create my meal plan as I know what I want to plan for the day. But it helps me make my plan by grabbing recurring meals and I can quickly see totals. I highly recommend you check this out!
