The Care App is used by patients and trial participants to facilitate remote health data collection when used with Empatica’s medical-grade EmbracePlus wearable. The Care App receives physiological data collected by EmbracePlus via Bluetooth and transmits this data to the Cloud for review and download by a professional.

The Care App is an integral part of the Empatica Care remote health monitoring platform. It is intended for professional use and it is not designed to provide independent health tracking.

I have a wearable body monitor that connects to this app. The problem is this app sucks the battery dry in about 5 hours. The watch can hold about 30 hours of data, so it is perfectly fine to upload once a day. Unfortunately the app is absolutely persistent and I cannot kill it, even temporarily. "Force stop", turning off background usage, nothing works. The last update took away the ability to even archive it until the evening when I would download it, run it, and re-archive it. Ridiculous.

I'm using this app for medical reasons so it is a necessity and although it seems to function seamlessly it completely drains my battery. I had it installed on an old phone and when I purchased my new phone, I set this application first to not lose any data. it was the only app draining my battery and not slowly, very fast consumption. This needs to improve.

This app is garbage. It should be scrapped and started over. Bluetooth takes over an hour to download <50M of data from the watch; it continually shows that it can't connect to the Internet when clearly no other apps are having that issue on my phone; it cannot/doesn't display any information about what the problem is other than it thinks it is having a problem; and this is only my second day wearing it. I'm not sure this is worth the hassle to continue.

In this update, we’ve introduced support for functional tests, added support for EmbraceMini in 6 languages — Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish — and resolved minor bugs for a smoother experience.
