The optional VPN feature uses VpnService to create a secure, encrypted tunnel between the device and a VPN server. This protects your internet connection, hides your IP address and location, and secures data transmitted over public Wi-Fi networks (e.g. cafés, airports, hotels) from interception. All traffic sent through the VPN tunnel is encrypted.
