Ratings and reviews

The app operates quite smoothly. Registering oneself with G66 is easy, plus there are no delays due to verification. Also, no need for a US-based mobile number to sign up, which is great for true nomads. It is compatible with Mercado Pago, which is great. Once your transfer accounts are set up, it takes a minute or less to prepare your "envio". From Mexico to G66 is instant. From G66 to my US bank takes a bit longer. Best feature: true market exchange rate. Low transfer rate, too, about 1.5%.

The only downside to the app is the strict verification during the account registration process . Transactions are easy to make, and you can open accounts in EUR or USD. I had to make a transaction for a congress in Spain and would've lost 48 euros in tariffs if done through a bank. One time I misinputted a client's data and the transaction didn't go through. Manuel, the support staff assigned to my case, swiftly verified and refunded the money. Overall great service and value.

Great service. I used it while I was traveling in Brazil. Worked perfectly and I was able to pay anywhere with it. Just be painful that if you are converting from COP you have to keep the 4x1000 tax amount in the original account otherwise it may say you don't have enough funds.
