Would you like some azodicarbonamide with that? Although approved by the FDA, certain ingredients are known to cause cancer and/or other health complications. Especially in children. Examples are processed food preservatives, brominated vegetable oil, artificial colorings, artificial sweeteners, sodium benzoate, artificial flavorings, and many many others. Gourmetmiles alerts you on which foods (restaurant and packaged) contain these ingredients before they are purchased and consumed. Simply scan the packaged food barcode at your grocery store or browse menu items from our partner restaurants.

Know exactly what's in the menu:
Not sure what’s in the restaurant menu? Gourmetmiles alerts you of restaurant menu items you cannot eat. Simply enter your food allergies, religious restrictions, and even food preferences, and Gourmetmiles will alert you of restaurant items that contain those ingredients before they are ordered and consumed.

Track your complete diet:
Gourmetmiles is the only app that accurately tracks diet from all sources (restaurant foods, packaged foods, & natural foods). Simply scan your receipt at one of our partner restaurants, scan your packaged food barcode, or weigh foods directly using our Macroscale and your smartphone.

Earn "Gourmetmiles" with every receipt:
Earn miles at our partner restaurants based on how much you spend. Gourmetmiles loyalty is a major upgrade from paper punch cards. Once 500 miles are earned, a digital voucher (worth $5) can be used same as cash towards any food item in the restaurant.

Use the Gourmetmiles app with our portable Macroscale:
Our portable Macroscale (about the size of a coaster) frees you from guessing what a serving size is. Get precise nutrition data based on food weight, not serving guesstimate. Use the Macroscale for cereal, juice, fruits, ice cream, cuts of meat, salads, and even building a sandwich.

Update: Wow, I didn't think anyone read these reviews. I just took a look last night and found the update. Thanks! Original review: The app requires an account registration to use. I bought the Macroscale, knowing that I would need an app to use it. I just want to use the scale I bought. I don't want the other services. I don't want my eating habits, and who knows what other data, being stored and tracked. Please make the Macroscale part of the app not require an account.

I love it so far I've been using the scale and the app for a little less then 1 hour but it works as expected I would love a new feature where when using the macroscale I can press a button to save the current amount into like a history log momentarily so that everything I press tare I can still see what my last measurement was, I have ADHD and sometimes remembering small details is hard and having this feature would be a game changer for in foodlines or buffet lines, thank you for a great app!

Accurate! A huge upgrade from MyFitnessPal and Fitbit. This scale is portable to fit in a small purse. It connects with the GourmetmiIes app via bluetooth. I can take this thing everywhere. Finally, a way to track sugars and nutrition. The app has free barcode scanner and harmful ingredient alerts. Love it.
