Not sure why other reviews keeo saying you need an account to use this. It does offer to login to an account but you don't have to. On the app itself, it has absolute buckets of useful information in an organized format that is easy to use. No account required. I also love the old school fallout 1 theme of the app.

A MUST have app. I love this app, it's super useful and user friendly. I've already learned so much and I spend a lot of time outdoors as it is. Once you set up your account, it's always available offline too. If you're an outdoors person, or just like to be prepared for all situations this is a great resource.

Spent ten minutes last weekend with the knot-tying section to rig a basic hammock between two trees in the backyard. Step-by-step, plain language, no fumbling through YouTube. Honestly the wilderness medicine and foraging content alone makes it worth having. I don't really get why everyone's fixated on the grid-down scenario as the usecase. Most of the value here is just being competent outdoors on a regular day.
