Great app and content, only issue Im having is I keep loosing my place if I tilt my phone. As soon as it goes from portrait mode to landscape mode and back again I end up loosing my place, sometimes it takes me back by several chapters or moves me forward. Its really frustrating. If there were a setting to lock the screen orientation it would be really helpful. Im using a Samsung Galaxy S5 sport.
Good selection of material. However the app is really just adequate, esp. for music. Doesn't pause in response to head phone switches (tried with two different head phones), doesn't show track info over Bluetooth. Also, the io9 recommended music panel always shows soundtracks and musicals, which isn't what I listen to normally. However, I can find and play music and videos and it can cast to my Chromecast with minimal fuss, so it does get the job done, just not as elegantly as some other apps. Update: Track info is now being displayed in my car as of the latest release. I have also figured out how to tweak the recommendations,, though it isn't especially easy or elegant. However, fixing the Bluetooth connectivity is enough for me to bump the rating to a 4.
Oh this is so much cheaper than audible. I could only get one book a month from them and you have to pay. Now they are advertising on television! This is free from your local library just in case they don't own a book you want to hear. They also have movies a ND e-books
I love having more options to find content when my libary doesn't have it avaible i can find it here most of the time. Only disappointment is recently i borrowed a tv series and didn't realize the time limit and didn't get to watch all of it now i have half a month to wait to borrow again as I'm out of borrowing items.
I love this service and this app. It works great and there is a pretty great selection. There is a slight bug on my device. Sometimes, randomly, it will tell me that I don't have an internet connection. When this happens, I definitely have internet. Sometimes it happens on Wi-Fi, sometimes on 4G. In each case, I can turn off my connection and turn it back on and it's fine, so it's a minor thing, but slightly annoying.
When I first got the hoopla app it was buggy. Thankfully they seem to have worked that out. Being able to rent digital version of books, music, and movies with your library card is fantastic. I have especially been enjoying catching up on the comics they have. I don't know exactly how many they have but I would venture to say thousands. Highly recommend this app!
Fixed offline issues so that it works this time for those of you who had trouble connecting. Yay connection!
Upgraded Bluetooth connectivity and headset controls for audio playback. Yay for a better listening experience!
Upgraded notification controls for all the Oreo lovers out there. Sweet, like your new favorite Android release.
