Ratings and reviews

Honestly, a fantastic source for extra reading material. However, the amount of downloads dropping from 10 to 6 was hindrance, not a deal breaker but a reasonable annoyance. That's not the reason for lowering my review. It's the fact that when my book is paused or if I open the app, the audiobook loses my place. That's so frustrating. I thought it was my phone but I've talked to numerous people with Hoopla and they experience the same inconsistency.

Overall, not as good an app as Libby. However, I get a much bigger selection of titles in Hoopla than Libby, so I use both. Three biggest issues with this app: 1. I wish it had a "quick return" button, (like Libby does) for when you accidentally bump the progress bar and suddenly you're way ahead or way behind but don't know where you came from. 2. When transitioning from wifi to data streaming, it will often lose its place start the book from the beginning. 3. It "skips" quite a bit, like a CD

It is nice to be able to borrow digital content via my local library subscription, but the app itself has some issues. It often gets forgets where you left off. Even if you download content, it sometimes struggles if you don't have an Internet connection. Lately the app has started loosing downloads. If you download a book and it looses the download, you start using up your cell data. It should have a setting to only allow steaming over WiFi to prevent this (at a minimum).
