The fan recirculating option could be better programmed. When you set the fan to be on 15 minutes each hour it turns on for the 15 minutes each hour then the air is stagnant for the next 45 minutes. A more efficient and effective method would having the ability to had the fan on for 5 minutes every 15 minutes. This would be a more evenly of recirculating the air. I know I can set to be after 30 or 45 minutes an hour but that's a waste electricity and the nest supposed to conserve energy
This app works half the time, if you are lucky. It's basically a useless headache and therefore renders the cameras useless since this is the only way to control them. This needs to be fixed or I am returning all of my cameras.
The latest update broke my activity zone notifications. I tried removing and reinstalling all my cameras and it's still messed up. Customer service was no help resolving the issue. I hope a future update fixes it. Edit: I finally discovered (on my own) what the issue is. Unless you have "person seen" activated, you will not get notifications in an activity zone when someone walks by. With this option turned off, you will only get notifications for motion. For example: a bird flying by or waving your hand directly in front of the camera. This is extremely unfortunate for people who only want person seen notifications in specific activity zone instead of in the entire camera's field of vision. For example: a camera pointing outside where people regularly walk by, but you are only interested in notifications in a specific zone. The only other option is to turn on "person seen" and get a million notifications throughout the day and hope that one of them is within the activity zone you actually care about. I really hope they fix this so "person seen" is a unique option for each activity zone instead of the camera overall. Currently, it's a broken feature.
Buggy to the point of being frustrating. Changing orientation can cause large time jumps. Pressing the 15 second skip button can cause huge time jumps. Pretty much unusable unless you're extremely patient and persistent.
It seems as if the location issues with Home-Away assist have been drastically improved since I last tried the feature on my Nexus 5X. So thank you! However, I'm still having issues with the Android Wear app responding at all (LG G Watch R). The majority of the time, it says it can't connect to Nest. This makes the Android Wear app essentially useless. This happens even if battery optimization is disabled for the Nest app on the phone. One suggestion for the Android Wear app regarding NestCam/DropCam: I only own a camera, and all I can do with the AW app is set Home or Away. I know it's probably unrealistic to get a live video stream from the camera on the watch. But maybe it could pull an on-demand screenshot?
Keeps saying offline when I know for a fact it isn't. Now doesn't control the nest.
