Sign into your work resources simply and securely with the JumpCloud Protect® mobile application, proud winner of the Globee Cybersecurity Award. JumpCloud Protect enables multi-factor authentication (MFA) which ensures user verification.

MFA provides an extra layer of security beyond traditional username and password authentication through either a push notification or a verification code through TOTP (time-based one-time password).

Both methods are easier to use and provide more security than user-created passcodes or authentication codes sent via SMS. In addition, TOTP does not require your mobile device to be connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network.

Ratings and reviews

The app is slow. It takes forever to load the app that I can tolerate, but when I need to approve a request then it takes about 10 seconds to bring up the fingerprint screen. With the last update I lost the end of most of the texts including the security code. Usually I'm not using that, but when I will need it it will be a pain to get the numbers as I will need to copy and paste it to somewhere before I can see it.

So far so good! Sometimes authentication requests time out (or the app doesn't show them at all), but other than that it's been very helpful. Edit: forget my previous edit: not sure what they did with the last update, but the app is now much snappier than it was before so my previous concerns are non-existent today. Adding a star! Totally recommend this for any JumpCloud user.

It worked for a while, but now it just crashes as soon it tries to start so I can't access anything. I downloaded the newest version and it now works again, would have been nice for it never to fail but it was a fast fix.
