To ensure a seamless app experience, k.ride may request the following permissions. Each permission falls into essential permissions, which are necessary, and optional permissions, which you can choose to allow:

1. Essential:
1) Location: This allows us to find nearby taxis, help taxis reach your location, and estimate travel time and fare to your destination.

2. Optional:
1) Phone number: This simplifies the process of entering your phone number during registration and login.
2) Messages: This simplifies the process of entering verification codes during registration and login.
3) Notifications: This enables you to receive updates on taxi dispatch, boarding, alighting, and for marketing purposes.

Ratings and reviews

This app is barely functional. I don't know if it's a problem with handling English text input & display, or it's just buggy. Addresses don't get shown correctly. Car information doesn't get shown for a long time after the ride is confirmed, sometimes even after the ride is started. Even when the ride shows up in the app, map shows partial information. Please make it usable, it doesn't match the excellent experience traveling in Korea.

The screen to sign up has problems. Says "you must agree to all terms and conditions to use this service" but when you tap a link to try to read the terms, nothing happens. It's not actually a link, neither the document name nor the arrow. eventually reached a different agreement screen with a separate checkbox for each document, and that allowed reading the documents.

Good luck! App is kind of glitchy, and sometimes, your driver will just cancel your ride. Also, you better write down some of the places in Hangul, since some of these places won't show up otherwise. Compared to Japan's GoTaxi app, this app is 2/5. It will say driver not found if you're in a busy area like the airport in Busan or Suseo Station after using the KTX
