Messages Home: SMS & MMS combines carrier text messaging with a custom Android home screen. Use the app for everyday SMS and MMS conversations, organise your inbox, create local SMS backups and keep frequently used apps close at hand. No account creation or sign-in is required.
TEXT WITH SMS AND MMS
Set Messages Home as the default SMS app through Android's system prompt to access messaging features. View conversations, write new messages, reply to contacts and receive message notifications.
On supported dual-SIM devices, choose an available SIM before sending. Message availability, delivery and carrier charges depend on your mobile device, SIM, network and plan.
KEEP CONVERSATIONS ORGANISED
Search message content and browse available conversation categories. Important threads can be pinned, older conversations can be archived and messages can be managed with local read and unread controls.
You can also manually block unwanted conversations. When a recognised one-time code appears in a message, use the available copy action to copy it. These organisation tools do not perform account verification or provide financial services.
ATTACH FILES AND SCHEDULE TEXTS
Add supported photos, videos or audio through Android's file picker. You can also take a picture using an available camera app or select contact information to include in a message.
Optional location sharing can place a map link in your draft after approximate-location permission is granted. Always review the recipient and attachments before sending.
Messages may also be prepared for a later time. Scheduled-message information and attachment references remain stored locally while pending, and a pending schedule can be cancelled before sending.
Some Android versions may require exact-alarm access. Scheduled sending still depends on the SMS role, permissions, an available SIM and network access, so exact delivery time is not guaranteed.
LOCAL SMS BACKUP AND RESTORE
Use Backup and restore from the Messages navigation menu to create a local copy of SMS text messages. Select a folder using Android's file picker and choose Backup now to create a JSON backup.
To restore a compatible backup, select the file, review the detected message count and confirm the restore.
Backup and restore supports SMS text messages only. MMS attachments and automatic scheduled backups are not included.
Messages Home must be the default SMS app during backup and restore. After restoration, you can keep it as your SMS app or open Android settings to select another default. Changing the default SMS app does not remove messages already imported into the device SMS store.
Backup files are not encrypted by the app, so keep them only in locations you trust.
ANDROID HOME SCREEN
Set Messages Home as your Home app to use its launcher. Open installed apps from the app drawer, keep favourite apps accessible, organise shortcuts and add compatible Android widgets using the built-in widget picker.
The home screen also provides a clock, date and convenient access to your inbox and message composer.
Default Home and default SMS are separate Android selections. SMS access is used for messaging features, not simply for displaying the launcher.
PRIVACY AND APP CONTROLS
The app contains advertising. Technical advertising, analytics and crash-reporting information is handled according to the Privacy Policy and Data safety information.
SMS and MMS conversations are not end-to-end encrypted. Default apps and permissions can be changed at any time through Android settings.
Send SMS & MMS, organise chats, back up SMS locally and use a home screen.
