I've used lastpass for many years, and it provides comfort knowing I will never lose my precious log-ins. Also, the ease of filling forms without having to retype personal info makes life much easier, although it doesn't work on some pages. Update: The app has gotten better I've had the paid version for a couple years now, and swear by this app! Also has support for many Android apps!
Works well for storing all passwords, including Android phone apps, and across devices, including Apple. The multi-factor authentication is also excellent. But the ability to NOT re-prompt for LastPass master password across different web browsers on both Windows 7 and 10 PCs is a total failure and has not worked for years. It used to work but Mozilla does not sync. Chrome seems to work if Internet Explorer is opened but none of the cross-browser sync is reliable. I have enabled the Chrome binary options and even looked at LastPass support forums. Probably a browser problem, not a LastPass issue.
It's a fantastic service, I just wish they had warned me before they decided to switch to a free service just after I purchased another yearly subscription. They made it clear that no refunds would be issued and we should be grateful for the couple of extra features we got going even if they are useless if they are transient, and definitely not worth the exorbitant price we paid. Despite this, I do like the service overall and have never felt safer, even from myself. I make my master password too difficult for me to get in, but luckily I can use fingerprints on my phone. No one can hack me because of passwords, at least.
Premium LastPass is worth every cent! Free is great but I chose to support the developers - I want to see this app continue! Love the premium option to share some (not all) passwords and only with specific people (and they can have a free membership) LOVE that it is Cross-platform, i.e. desktop, tablet, laptop, desktop.
A brilliant service now with a brilliant app that can remember your different app logins too. Loved it before, even more so now. Saved my ass a few times and once when it was tax return time. Lastpass had the login when I thought all was lost. Just get it or find something similar. Personally I trust this.
I really like the storage and ability to share across devices. I think it is easier to use than a paper notebook. It has helped me create very secure passwords. My only complaint is that my spouse has trouble using the app on our tablet.
This release fixes PIN support, which was broken in the last release. We apologize for the inconvenience!
If you continue to experience problems with the fingerprint feature being disabled, please contact us through the feedback link, and let us know the details.
