Avoid Lorex! We upgraded after our old recorder died (discontinued in the US) and regret it. Setup was a hassle—adding cameras and passwords individually plus downloading a new app. The performance is awful: constant offline issues defeat the point of 24/7 recording, camera notifications keep turning off automatically, and one "4K" camera looks worse than low-res CCTV. Unreliable and frustrating. We're returning it for another brand.

JUST AWFUL! DEFINITELY A WASTE AND I DO NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL! I'm helping my uncle set up his new cameras and.... when creating an account, after entering your email, password and choosing your region , NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS. You're just stuck at that screen and can't go any farther. I literally just wasted 2 hours trying to set it up just to get absolutely NOWHERE! I'm beyond frustrated, disappointed and ready to throw it away!

If you enjoyed the functionality of the classic Lorex connect, then you will be deeply disappointed. the new devices that work with lorex connect are spotty, cannot be setup on certain devices, also have built in limitations of live view that cannot be turned off. The issue that caused me to write this review however is that each time you add a device to the app you have to decline Lorex paid cloud services. EACH TIME.
