PRIVACY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Lumen is different from other spiritual apps:

• No account, no sign-up
• Everything stays on your device — encrypted with AES-256
• No ads, no tracking, no telemetry
• No AI reading or analyzing your texts
• Fully usable offline

A cloud backup exists only if you switch it on yourself — and even then it holds nothing but an encrypted copy that we cannot read. If you would rather avoid the cloud entirely, export an encrypted backup file and keep it yourself.

Not a prayer library with a thousand texts, but one practice you will actually keep. Not a chatbot and not a spiritual director: nobody reads or judges your entries, and no AI touches them. Not a streak game. And not a replacement for confession or spiritual direction, but a preparation for both.

Lumen is an aid to the examination of conscience — it is not confession. It does not replace the Sacrament of Reconciliation or a conversation with a priest. In an acute crisis the app always shows helpline numbers.
