I'm not sure if I like this app or not. For me it works well mostly (none of the file issues others have described) but when transcribing from a midi it often determines note values in ways that don't make sense (they are too long or short and don't add up consistently per measure). It's a good tool for learning to play piano (going from audio to keys), but I wouldn't reccomend trusting it to help you learn music theory/notation.

I used this app for a while before, and for what it does, its really good. However, the most recent change makes it so that you effectively can't access any of your own files at all due to the recommended option not working. I don't see why the recommended option is even there in the first place, though, since I could easily see this being made irrelevant with a simple request for permission to access files, which many other apps do.

I like this app because it gives you the inside look into the breakdown on each instrument is played. It also shows the notation and the beat of the song as well. 2-19-2024 New update of the app will not allow the program to open files from my SD card. My previous rating will now be changed from 5 to 3. At least the app can still play the 50 songs. Update: 9-25-2024 If you have Android OS 11 or higher, this app will no longer open any external midi files.
