MOTORDATA OBD expands capabilities of the OBD2 scanner:

• Automotive scanner - reads and clears error codes from control units. With our paid plug-ins, you can read up to 25 ECUs depending on car's brand, model, manufacture year, and your scanner. You can read codes from automatic transmission, variator, ABS, SRS, ESP, AC, and other ECUs.

• Deciphers fault codes (DTCs P0 and P2 OBD2) and provides information about common faults' causes. It also allows resetting the Check Engine light.

• Provides a data flow from the engine and other systems, e.g. speed, rpm, temperature, pressure, readings from oxygen sensors, short and long term corrections, torque, etc.

• Offers a customisable toolbar with 18 templates and ability to change font sizes, display types, colours.

• Offers an info saving feature, which enables recording and playback of readings from vehicle gauges, fault codes, and freeze frame data (parameters recorded at the time when the fault occurred) for offline analysis and identification of recurrent problems.

• Provides a plug-in dashboard that shows an information about performance of car's systems, meaning of warning lights & indicators, and actions that must be taken when the warning lights come on.

• Offers real-time monitoring of fuel consumption.

• Provides useful information for drivers through the driver assistant feature.

The car scanner app requires a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth & Bluetooth 4.0 LE or USB OBD2 ELM327 compatible adapter. Please note that reliable operation of the scanner tool is not guaranteed if Chinese adapters ELM 327 v2.1 are used. We recommend using quality v1.5 adapters like OBDLink, Viecar, Konnwei KW903, and UniCarScan.

Good app, lacks user oriented design. Seeing your response, I still strongly believe that it takes way too long and way too many button presses to get to the data I'm actually using the app for. I opened the app to check the voltage across the CU. It took 4+ button presses and 30 seconds to get that data. Using torque, it's 5 seconds and a swipe at most. I don't care to see the individual steps to connect to ECU. I just want it connected ASAP. Why do I need to click READ on the table screen?

All its missing is bi-directional controls, which would be perfect plus one more star. This app gives me more module codes than my "go to" scantool. Which suprised me. Granted the graphing meter lags a very slight amount, maybe a direct connection to the DLC would resolve this, but everything else makes up for it. The only issue really with the graphing, is watching an oxygen sensor. Thats a sensor that moves fast, and a slow response could lead a technician to believing theres a sensor issue.

This has the most parameters for diagnostics than any app i have tried. Its dashboard is great too. The user interface could be simpler to chose between the ecm and tcm but it will not take much getting used to. I had a major issue transferring the license it to my android car stereo because I had 2 accounts on my phone when I purchased it. It paid from one account and stored the purchase on the other. I also love the fact the developer cares because they give feedback from most reviews.
