It doesn't solve the root of the problem (the earphone bug), the earphone stay active with the speakers, but it's effective if you need to unmute your device for some media. Haven't tried for calls though. Update: now I can't record Whatsapp voice notes unless if disabling the app. It's a choice between hearing or being heard lol

Tried again using the update from 8/7/24 - still not working for me... I have a new Android 12 phone. I am trying to use my old Pressy button in the 3.5mm headphone jack. But when it is plugged-in the phone thinks I have a real headphone plugged in and routes all audio to it instead of the phone's speaker. I wish this worked. I still see a notice in the app that there are problems on Android 12. Why not? Later Android seems to make nothing but problems. Too bad.
