Most useful tools are locked unless you pay. The "diary" for adding your food is horrendous. Once you create a meal, you can't change or delete it. If you try to look for food, there are thousands to look through and 90% of them were entered wrong. So if you add another, it just makes the list longer. Thousands of the same exact item, just spelled differently. Changes are not saved or randomly doubles entries. You would think that there would be a lot more options to narrow down the food list.

It has been useful for tracking calories during cuts and bulks. The large database and the bar code scanning can make item entry easy. Why 3 stars? The app has serious bugs that have been known about for a long time affecting the core reason for the app - tracking daily calories. Instead of fixing these the devs spend time adding "attaboy" award trophies. Also the large database is full of many duplicate items only some of which have correct data and you can't properly override them.

Tried coming back to MFP after using it 5+ years ago. App is a little clunky but okay. However, I cannot get it to sync with Garmin (vs. zero sync issues with Cronometer), and customer support has been useless. I reached out explaining that I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting from different devices/browsers. So far, multiple reps have told me again and again to simply disconnect and connect again (I have! 5-10 times!), refusing my requests to explore other possible solutions. What a joke.
