PWRview provides owners of a Generac energy system to see real-time site performance, directly from their mobile device.

Ratings and reviews

The app provides a fraction of the data that was available from their discontinued web browser based utility. It doesn't allow for monitoring output from each Pwrlink to identify problems. If you want historical performance data you can't go back to that month and then drill down to weekly or daily details, can't control the inverter mode from the app.

*Update 8/10 - the data appears to not be aggregating properly for the app to pull. I've reset my internet, modem, etc and the app keeps failing to show production for random periods of time during the day. I have been losing a couple hours each day for the past couple weeks now. If I check the inverter, it shows the production and distribution of power, albeit on a faded LCD that isn't easy to read after 2 years. The IT testing and release processes appear to be pretty lax and low standards.

Mediocre but functional. The last update was sort of two steps forward and one step back. They removed the three rings which represent power company usage, solar power readings, and battery power readings. That was super useful to understand the overall picture. Also the "$" tab which shows estimated bill and savings no longer functions. Just a blank white screen that crashes the app. But everything else works well. The live readings tab is a beautiful addition. Please bring back the rings!
