About this app

The Post-App provides helpful features and practical information on Swiss Post’s services.

An overview of the functions:

Login: Use the Swiss Post customer login for direct access to online services in the app. The login will remain valid for 1 year for protected devices (PIN, fingerprint, Face ID) and 60 days for unprotected devices.

Push function: The push function provides you with the latest information about Swiss Post as well as personal information about upcoming consignments from “My consignments”.

CODESCANNER – can be accessed via “scan” at the top right:
With the scan function, you can scan the barcodes and QR codes on consignment documents or enter the consignment numbers manually. In addition, several stamps are scannable, allowing access to additional information.

The app determines your location (active GPS) and indicates the nearest branch, Postomats, PickPost points, among other things. The location search remains available even when your GPS is deactivated. Assign favourites and always have their current opening hours and collection times available.

You can scan barcodes on letter mail, international consignments and parcels, and QR codes on mailing receipts. The consignment number is then entered automatically in the track & trace overview. To improve the overview, you can add your own text to the numbers of the listed consignments. You can also forward the consignment number.
Frank letters and parcels with ease via the Post-App. Frank your consignments conveniently at home or on the go with the Post-App.
We are now setting up new My Post 24 terminals, which can be operated via the Post-App. You will require the Post-App and your smartphone, and must be fully registered with Swiss Post in order to use all the functions offered by the new terminals.

With pick@home, the parcel carrier simply collects consignments from your home or another address. Scan the pick@home consignment code of your goods returns and the order process will start in the app.

Prices for the most frequently used products are immediately at hand. For more specific consignments, you can use the mail calculator to calculate the costs for shipping within Switzerland and abroad.

Have you saved your login in the app and activated the “My consignments” service? This ensures that you will always have an up-to-date overview of all the consignments you receive. If you activate Push notifications, you will be informed proactively about the progress of the consignment.

Have you received a letter with a video symbol on the stamp? Simply open the scanner, scan the code and watch the video.

Have your mail retained until you return.

Is there a collection note in your letter box? Using the scan function, simply scan the code field on the collection note – then you can select further delivery options.

Information on the authorizations required by the Swiss Post App:

- Required for legacy reasons to ensure older Android versions are supported

- Needed for login

- Receive general and/or personal push notifications

- Required to import contact information captured by a scanner into contacts.

- Specifies the locations of the nearest Swiss Post locations

- Start phone calls from the app (e.g. to call the Contact Center)

- Needed for the code scanner

Worked mostly well in the past, but since the last update (that introduced dark mode) I can't log in anymore. After pressing "Login" in various places I the app, nothing happens, it just hangs. Even after cleaning caches. Edit: I can log in on the web without problem. The app never opens the login screen, and since I deleted all the data and cache, it doesn't know anything about my account, so it can't be related to the account type.

Thank you for your update: the way it looks will prevent you from opening the browser from the app. This may be prevented by the device setting. Otherwise, please delete the app – delete and reinstall the Post-App and SwissID cookies in your browser.

Totally frustrating. I had to reinstall everything on my phone, including this app. It now won't let me monitor consignments. It says I have to input my address. My address is in my Post account. I deleted it, re-entered it, got a new verification through by post. It works fine in the browser, but the post app still insists that I have to "enter the address". Then when I click on that, it opens a browser, with the address all set up and verified... SUCKS! And, I'm already on the version 8.2.2

Works ok. The UI could be better. Missing the option to configure the start page to show "My consignments list" as a default. I would like to always land there, instead of seeing 1 consignment and then click a link to see the list. There are also bugs, like "My consignments" shows a returned item for months now, without realising that it was delivered, and I have no option to mark it delivered nor to remove it.

Thank you for your suggestions. We will restructure the app to ensure that all consignments and activities can be seen immediately on the front line in future. We are still waiting for the necessary interfaces. Please contact our Customer Service to delete a consignment.
