About this app

OhMD is a HIPAA-compliant omni-channel patient communication platform built for physician practices struggling with high inbound patient call volume. It brings AI-driven and human-led conversations together across phone, text, and web in one unified inbox, allowing practices to manage all patient communication from a single system.

OhMD uses a hero-in-the-loop model. AI handles routine patient requests such as appointment scheduling, call deflection, voicemail transcription, and common questions. When staff expertise is needed, teams can step into, respond to, or take over conversations instantly from the same inbox. This ensures automation never replaces visibility or control.
Unlike messaging-only platforms or standalone voice AI tools, OhMD combines secure texting, calling, and AI voice in one platform. All patient conversations remain centralized, searchable, and assigned to the right teams, reducing phone interruptions and front desk overload.

Practices use OhMD to deflect inbound calls to text and AI conversations, improve patient access, and reduce staff burnout without hiring additional staff or outsourcing call centers.

Customers report measurable results, including fewer staff-handled calls, lower communication costs, and improved patient satisfaction.

Practices use OhMD to:
- Deflect inbound patient calls into text and AI-assisted conversations
- Answer calls, texts, and web chats from one unified inbox
- Automate scheduling and routine requests without removing staff from the loop
- Reduce front desk interruptions and staff burnout
- Improve patient access without hiring or outsourcing

Practices using OhMD report:
- Fewer staff-handled calls
- Lower communication costs
- Improved practice revenue and growth

Core capabilities include:
- AI-assisted call answering and scheduling
- Secure texting and call-to-text deflection
- Unified inbox for calls, texts, and web chat
- Smart routing and assignments based on patient intent
- Human takeover of AI conversations when needed

As of this date, it is still a horrible app. I no longer get notifications. The app does not show anything but gray and white bars like it it trying to load. Terrible. 1st comment back in February-This app does not work. I get notifications that I have a message but there's no updated message in the app. It would be nice to at least get a notification of who sent the message.

Absolutely awful for Android. Crashes often, cannot send images to clients, push notifications don't come through unless my phone is unlocked, have had to uninstall/reinstall almost every shift. My colleagues with iPhones do not have these issues. Also makes obnoxiously loud notification sound (no matter your phones current sound settings), but only upon rebooting the app.

I literally hate this app since it's been updated. I can't get past the HIPPA screen. It's a useless app. Edit* it would be nice to have a one size fits all screen font so we as clients who don't see well don't have to use a magnifying glass to log in. Just saying. Also is there even tech support because my doctors office doesn't even have contact info for tech support. I received an email telling me about all the new additions to the app. Now I'm finally able to get in theres nothing new.

Update: Hi Angela - Thanks so much again for your feedback. Because of you, we were able to identify the issue for users with large fonts and we'll be releasing a fix in the coming days. No magnifying glass required. Thank you!
