We've completely redesigned the user experience to ensure a simple, fast, and secure experience for hotel guests. Getting your mobile key is as easy as 1-2-3:

• Ensure the hotel has your phone number on file at time of check-in.
• Receive a text message with a link to download the OpenKey app.
• Input your mobile number and verification code to confirm your device and your key will download to your phone!

Ratings and reviews

First times a charm! This is the first time I have used an app like this for a hotel stay and to be honest I have been dreading it. But open key made it quick and easy. The app was easy to figure out and work through and it was nice not having to worry about where our physical keys were (as we have 3 small children and things get misplaced constantly!) But we always had our phones with us! Will definitely look for open key hotels in the future.

I discovered that online travel booking companies like Expedia give a different phone number and email address to the hotels and pass messages through to your real numbers. So you need to make sure the hotel has your actual phone number on file before using the app so it can find your reservation. Nothing they can really do about it. Overall, love the app.

It's very reliable and secure. Seems that the key is an actual file, so I had to give it permission to store the file on my phone. It works using Bluetooth, so I had to give that permission as well. I looked it up,and location uses GPS, WIFI, and Bluetooth, so you can't use the key without location turned on. I'm always leary about permissions, but I understand why this app wouldn't work without these.
