About this app

Global Search is designed for OPPO,realme,OnePlus devices running ColorOS. Simply swipe down on the home screen to launch and use this app.

With Global Search, you can quickly access various types of information and apps on your phone, including:
- Apps: Enter an app's name to open installed apps or go directly to their download page in the app store.
- Contacts: Enter a name or partial number to find your contacts directly.
- Files: Enter keywords to quickly locate your stored documents, images, videos, music, and other file types.
- Settings: Enter a function name (e.g., "Sound") to jump directly to the corresponding settings page.
- Notes: Enter a keyword to immediately find and display related notes.
- Calendar: Enter an event title to keep track of upcoming schedules and activities at any time.

Ratings and reviews

While search is essential on any phone, this one offers no customizability. It regularly surfaces the same items that I never select. I'd love to exclude whole categories but no option available. Search is laggy, with items jumping around. other UI bugs exist. e.g. my previous search string remains so you have to delete it before a new search, even if it was ages ago. All known issues and yet ColorOS still forces the use of this search. Wouldn't choose but other launchers are unusable on ColorOS

Doesn't work. ...says that I'm able to search for an app, and if I don't have it installed, I can go straight to the App Store from Global Search. However, all it shows me is a Google button, which literally just launches Google, and then I have to type again. Kind of pointless. No idea whether it's to do with being in the UK and GDPR.

While the overall value this app provides is great but the search experience is really bad: too much delay in surfacing the right results, sometimes when I am about to click the suggestion suddenly the suggestion changes. The regex is incorrect - it prioritizes center word match on the top rather than left to right word matches. If these issues are resolved it would be a great value provider app with great UX too.
