Use Parkmobile when you’re...
Going shopping for the day? Have a business meeting? Or simply running some errands? You can always use the Parkmobile app for parking and paying by mobile phone. Since you only pay for the duration you park, you will never pay too much. You can use Parkmobile to park on the street, or in a car park.

How does Parkmobile work?
Register for free if you don’t have an account yet. Once you’ve parked your car, open the app, check the zone code based on your GPS location and press ‘Start’. Your parking action will be transmitted to parking enforcement officers based on your number plate, so you don’t need to worry about getting a ticket. An email, or SMS notification will help remind you about your active parking session. When you return to your vehicle, open the app and press ‘Stop’ to end the parking session. You can settle the parking costs on a monthly basis using a payment method of your choice.

Ratings and reviews

While the app is intuitive, well-designed, and stable. However, after using the app for parking in major cities in NL (e.g. Eindhoven), I frequently receive parking tickets by mail, claiming that I have not paid for parking. Of course, I object the fine and present evidence of having paid, so the matter gets resolved. This nuisance should be addressed as it demotivates me from using the app.

Received multiple fines while legally parked with Parkmobile turned on, and due to their lacking customer service I cannot get an explanation as to why this can happen. You have the option of chatting with a robot or chatting on WhatsApp! The first is useless and the second never replies.

CAUTION: I got a fine after using this app because it states I was parked in Amsterdam whereas I was actually in Utrecht (I drove from Amsterdam, and my location was on, I used it for navigation too). So I ended up paying €15 for parking via this app AND 69.72 for the actual fine (I should have checked the nr of the parking machine and address, but it was Christmas Eve and I was in a hurry).
