Humans tend to have a default pattern of movement stemming form the organization of internal organs and the way the brain processes information. Many of us get stuck in unconscious movement patterns that we use relentlessly.
Since we never fully stop our specific patterns of movement, we become tense, stiff, and sometimes painful. Tight structures in the body tend to ache more or are difficult to heal because they can not truly rest and recover.
Movement Alchemy is a self paced, guided Movement Practice that reestablishes the participant’s mind body connection and uses the power of breath in different states or positions of expansion. This drives changes and the way we sense ourselves as we breathe and move. This fundamentally changes the way our brain processes information and leads to rest, relaxation, and recovery.
As you learn to breathe and sense your body differently, you unlock your movement potential, reduce tension, and reduce or eliminate painful areas of your body.
Movement Alchemy has short “Learn” videos to teach the basic concepts of the movements and “Do” audio files to guide the participant through the foundational activities. As participants gain more and more competency in the movements, the foundational activities are woven together to form movement flows. This acts as meditative movement practice that solidifies the changes gained during the foundational training.
